July marked a few achievements in our family....
Ronnie has been smoke free for 500+ days now, He started jogging daily and we went on our FIRST FAMILY VACATION!!!!
We went to the "Cabin"!!! Here are some pictures from our trip!
It was an eventful 3 days with 3 mice, 1 snake, 2 brim, 3 catfish, 1 bat, 2 birds, 2 baby vultures and tons of bears and reptiles at the museum.
This is us at Minniehaha Falls were we were married almost 6 years ago. It was also the first time Ronnie has been back since that day.
Jocie is always willing to pose for the camera!
We enjoyed a few hours in Helen, GA. We walked around and took the kids to the Bear Museum! The kids are showing off their pressed pennies!
There were a lot of bears at the Bear Museum as well as a reptile and snake area. The kids got to feed the bears and some of them would "perform" for their snacks!
We got a kick out of this Yoga Bear!!
View from the top of the boat house.....
Paradise!!!!
Hello Mr Bat!
Look!!! Proof that Ronnie got in the Lake!!!
We took a walk up the mountain behind the Cabin in the Nachoochee National Forest. I wanted to show Ronnie the big Rock Cliff but we found more than we bargined for. There were 2 baby turkey vultures in a nest. They both were huge (maybe 20 pounds each) and thank goodness Motherless while we were there. They weren't exactly the cutest things in the world but it was cool to see nature in action.
It was only after the sun went down that we were able to catch some fish.....so we stayed up to catch a midnight snack! Photo by Jocie
I couldn't keep her out of the lake!
The kids enjoying the shower....if you have never showered in nature then you just haven't lived!!!
Ronnie on the way to the shower....he was not wanting to leave.
We took a quick trip to Mark of the Potter. From their back porch is a beautiful river and tons of the largest troat you have ever seen.
We treated our selves to lunch at the Batesville General Store Restaurant.
We went to the Falls twice.....its a fun walk to the get there and the kids loved to play 20 questions as we walked.
On the way home we stopped to show the kids Tallulah Gorge.
Oops....a little out of order but here is a picture we took off the bridge in Helen. We plan to tube "the hooch" on our next trip.
